Maybe you’re a long time Bay Area resident or maybe you’re just in town for the weekend but you still want to know where to do a very San Francisco-y photoshoot! Whether you are doing a family photoshoot, an engagement shoot or even a portrait session, all of these locations will deliver some SF goodness.

Here are my top 5 locations for accessible and stunning locations that scream San Francisco!

1.Golden Gate Overlook

Golden Gate Overlook is one of my top favorite locations for jaw-dropping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean. Parking is right across the street at Langdon Court Parking or at CNG Parking Lot. Make sure to be prepared for classic Bay Area weather though. Wind and fog can come rolling through at any moment.

2. Baker Beach

Baker Beach offers the classic CA coastal atmosphere where you can feel the sand between your toes and also have a stunning background of the Golden Gate Bridge. Parking is plentiful but avoid going on hot weekends because it will be packed. I recommend scheduling your photo session for golden hour on weekdays.

3. Lands End

Lands End is huge and sprawling so you have tons of different opportunities for shoots here but it can also be a little overwhelming. Parking is very close by but it’s very touristy so keep that in mind. You can hike here for hours. If you are up for an adventure take the main path north and pull over along the path as you see cool views.

4. Crissy Field East Beach

Crissy Field is one of my all time favorite parts of The Presidio. Parking is so mega easy (Crissy Beach Parking Lot) and it’s flat so it’s great for strollers or slower walkers. The view of the Golden Gate is striking and you also can see Alcatraz, wind surfers, cargo ships, the whole shebang.

5. Palace Of Fine Arts

You might not see the bridge from this location but what it lacks in Golden Gate-y ness, you gain in iconic SF architecture. The Palace of Fine Arts is usually more temperate than the beaches, is flat and easy for strollers. It can be very crowded however so be sure to keep that in mind if you are shooting on the weekend.

All in all, these 5 locations are iconic and easy to access even if you are ride-sharing around town. If you are driving, they all have easy parking and most of all, there will be no guess as to where you took your pics! I hope my top 5 favorite photoshoot locations are helpful! I hope your photoshoot is a blast!
